Grace Ashbrook is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Iowa and has experience working in the counseling/social work field since 2005. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois and received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Loras College in 2010.
Grace practices therapy with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. She is integrative in her approach and utilizes a variety of techniques to meet each person’s individual needs and assist them in achieving their full potential.
Grace works well with children, adolescents, adults and families. She is experienced in addressing concerns related to depression, anxiety, trauma, family discord/attachment, addiction, grief/loss and adjustment. Additionally, Grace has received training in EMDR, Theraplay and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy which are commonly used for the treatment of trauma and attachment disorders.
Grace has always had a passion for helping individuals achieve stability and find happiness in their lives. She welcomes the opportunity to share in each person’s pain, challenges and distress as well as the joy, hope and recovery they experience.
Grace is married and is the mother to 2 wonderful boys. In her spare time she enjoys camping, bicycling and volunteering on ski patrol.
