ABOUT CROSSROADS

From Crossroads Owner and Therapist Yvette Saeugling...

In the early 2000s, resources were few for children and families in the Dubuque community.  It became my mission to provide the best evidence-based therapies for children. In 2006, Crossroads opened its doors providing outpatient therapy to adults and children. Crossroads physically evolved to the point we had two play therapy rooms, two Theraplay rooms, a group/family room, and a conference room.

Life has a funny way of steering the ship into a different direction. My own children were teenagers, I was running from here to there and I was not getting any younger. It had come time to “right-size.”

In 2017, after eleven years, Crossroads relocated to the corner of Third and Main Street, overlooking the river.

In 2018, my epilepsy started to act up.

Then, in 2019, I had an accident.

It took a year to get back to my old self. But what I learned is how much the body and mind are truly intertwined.

So, the last leg of my journey is devoted to the mind and body. As fate would have it, I crossed paths with a lady at a trauma conference who introduced me to a revolutionary style of neurofeedback: LENS neurofeedback and Body LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System).

This has been a game-changer. Not only for me, but for countless others. I often hear,

"I have my life back!"

"I have my child back!"

Crossroads Counseling Center now has three LENS therapists who provide neurofeedback in adjunct to therapy or as a stand-alone method to heal physical and emotional injuries. A whole new door has been opened at Crossroads to provide results that are quicker, automatic, and long-lasting. Read what clients are saying about LENS:

We would love for you to experience Crossroads!
